There are a few extras available to enhance and protect your Tennis Tutor Tennis Ball Machine, and to give you more options when you're using it on court. They are all official Tennis Tutor parts designed only for use with Sports Tutor machines.
The battery is such an important part of a portable ball machine - the power source without which your tennis machine would just be an expensive ball hopper. Most Tennis Tutor portable machines will give you hours of practice between charges without the need to worry about loss of power. There are occasions though, where you might want an extended session, or where more than one person is playing, or you're working the ball machine to maximum or just don't have time for a recharge before your next tennis workout.
The Tennis Tutor External Battery Pack will give you 4 - 6 hours of extra playing time, when plugged into the battery charge jack. It's good for all the portable Tennis Tutor machines from the Prolite to the Plus Player models, and even the Wilson portable tennis ball machines that Sports Tutor also manufacture.
As you can see above right, it comes with it's own smart carrying case with adjustable strap and inclusive choice of smart (no overcharge) charger or smart/fast charger to cut the charging time at least in half.
The Tutor Smart / Fast Charger upgrade isn't just available for the external battery pack. You can get one for the original battery as well if you're keen to get out on court more than one time a day or at a moment's notice.
The 'smart' part occurs when the battery reaches a full charge. The charger automatically notices this and switches to a trickle charge to keep the battery fully charged but not overcharged. A handy little light turns on at this time to keep you informed.
The 'fast' bit reduces charging time to only 2 - 3 hours, so you could play in the morning, charge over lunch, and have another go in the afternoon, as opposed to the overnight charging session required with a normal charger.
Most Tennis Tutor portable battery machines give you the option of selecting AC power where an outlet is available, with the AC Adaptor. This obviously gives you the opportunity for unlimited practice where conditions allow, but the battery must be already charged for the system to work - ie, you can't exhaust the battery, and then plug into the mains.
Why not protect your Tennis Tutor Ball Machine as you've spent good money on it. For $35, this heavy vinyl cover will protect your investment from dirt, dust and moisture, but it's probably a good idea to keep ball machine and cover away from the worst the weather can throw at them. This cover will comfortably cover all the portable models.
